Dental Cleaning
A proper dental cleaning is performed by dentists and should be preceded by a detailed oral examination. If problems requiring dental cleaning are identified after the examination, an appointment is given for the cleaning procedure, or if possible, the cleaning can be performed on the same day as the examination.
During the dental cleaning procedure, tartar and plaque on the tooth surface are removed using various instruments. These instruments do not damage the tooth enamel and are only effective in removing plaque and tartar that coat the tooth surface.
After the procedure, a clean and smooth appearance can be achieved on the surface. In addition to plaque and tartar cleaning, whitening and polishing applications can also be performed on discolored teeth when deemed necessary.
Dental cleaning is of great importance in preventing problems such as gum inflammation and, consequently, preventing issues that can progress to gum recession and tooth loss.
